The role in a nutshell

You will form part of the Operations Onboarding team based in Cape Town and Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the Head of Customer Onboarding. You will work in a fast paced environment, collaborating with other business units, including Engineering, Product and Compliance teams, servicing the business on an international level together with the teams from South East Asia, Africa and Europe.

The role of the Data Analyst  is responsible for using their knowledge of data analysis and data processing to provide sound business decisions to the Onboarding team and key business areas. Their duties include collaborating with the data science team(s) to extract data figures, creating reports based on their findings, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine business initiatives’ success.

Your mission will involve

• Collaborate with team members to collect and analyse data
• Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualise data
• Structure large data sets to find usable information
• Gather and interpret data requirements from various teams
• Participate in the solution design process 
• Analyse and improve relevant onboarding business processes with data driven analysis 

The ideal candidate will have:

• Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments
• Qualification in Data Analysis
• Ability to collaborate with various teams, ensuring quality of delivery 
• Technical writing skills
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations
• Experience with statistical software
• Reporting and data visualisation skills
• Strong attention to detail, report writing and documenting outcomes of investigations 
• Interpret, prepare and represent complex management information
• The ability to influence and make recommendations confidently with the use of data and analyses, to various stakeholders including the senior leadership team
• Minimum of  1  year of Data Analyst experience
• Experience in customer onboarding/ KYC environment is advantageous
