ML Engineering at GoCardless
We believe that supporting and developing the ML lifecycle is critical to the continued success of our ML based product features. As an ML Engineer you will work with Data Scientists to solve specific problems and help deliver our predictive capabilities to help GoCardless to grow as a business, and expand our product offerings.
As an ML Engineer you'll be an advocate of high-quality engineering and best practices in production ML systems. You will help us design, build and productionalise ML models using proven ML techniques. You will work with Data Scientists and other teams to frame problems and develop, monitor and optimise ML solutions.
The Role
As an ML Engineer you will work closely with our Data Scientists. You will bring the ability to own the whole ML life cycle, define projects and drive excellence across teams.
In this role you will:
- Work in partnership with data scientists so that they can run their models in production.
- Own the toolchain for model development, deployment and maintenance
- Form a part of our enablement function, allowing GoCardless to leverage technology and data to grow the business
- Contribute to evolving our data platform to enable the data science team
What you’ll do / Responsibilities
We’re looking for people who:
- Have worked with data scientists to get models and data products into production
- Have worked towards building reusable tooling to accelerate our ability to use ML in production.
- Have an awareness of the product team’s needs and method of deploying the model in question.
- Contribute to the overall success of GoCardless by allowing us to truly gain value from our data.
- Can work with our Data Infrastructure team and help guide them to build the best data platform for running ML products.
- Can collaborate with our Developer Enablement team to ensure we’re building the fewest number of tools and reusing as much as we can
