Responsibilities

  • Combine raw data from different sources and integrate into a central datalake then a data warehouse
  • Build the data system and pipeline using Airflow or similar tools
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Explore ways to enhance data quality, pipeline stability and reliability
  • Develop analytical tools and programs using BI tools like PendoAI, Logi Analytics, etc.
  • Conduct complex data analysis and report on requests and visualize the data for stakeholders
  • Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
  • Collaborate with data scientists and architects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of working as a data engineer or in a similar role
  • Technical expertise with data models, analysis, pipeline architecture, ETL/ELT and segmentation techniques
  • Have strong knowledge of python and its data engineering library like NumPy, PyTorch, etc.
  • Have strong knowledge of SQL query and relational model design
  • Have strong knowledge of NoSQL databases and their architecture
  • Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
  • Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores.
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow or similar tools etc.
  • Experience with one of cloud services: Azure, Google Cloud or AWS
  • Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc. is a plus
  • Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc. is a plus
