The role

As a Sustainable Data Analyst at Quantis, you’re motivated to put your strong analysis and data management skills to work towards our mission of building a sustainable future. You will deliver high quality metrics-based consulting services to our clients and support other teams in advanced data processing.


Does this describe you and your next role?

  • You’re motivated to put your analytical and data management skills to work towards our mission of aligning businesses with Planetary Boundaries.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computational Science/Engineering and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Energy or similar disciplines.
  • You have 2+ years of experience, preferably in consulting world, performing, managing, interpreting and communicating on results
  • You have strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and affinity for performing technical analysis, modeling, and data management.
  • You have the ability to process, manage, visualize and interpret large volume of data in a form understandable to different audiences.
  • You have skills in programming, scientific coding and data processing.
  • You master Microsoft/Excel; a good knowledge of Python, R, Matlab or ArcGIS is considered as an advantage
  • Ideally, you have a basic knowledge of Sustainability core concepts like Carrying Capacity, key frameworks like Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Planetary Boundaries, and related standards like PEF, GHG Protocol or Science-Based Targets Experience with one of the LCA software tools (SimaPro, Gabi …)
  • You have strong organizational skills, problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
  • You’re a collaborative team player and will feel at home in a positive, supportive and dynamic work environment.
  • You are fluent in English, French/German is a plus.



As a Sustainable Data Analyst here’s a preview of what you’ll have to do :

  • Managing data collection from the client, designing and implementing data processing and data management when relevant
  • Creating user-friendly prototypes in Microsoft Excel or other relevant, tools with models in the background of various complexity
  • Conducting a variety of quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the development of client sustainability solutions. For eg: quantitative analyses such as life cycle assessment (LCA); corporate and/or product footprinting (carbon, water, other); climate impact reduction scenario modeling; and others
  • Preparing clear and compelling reports and presentations of analyses, results, insights and recommendations, to support the project team’s communication to clients.
  • Working on projects in France as well as on projects from all over the world in collaboration with Quantisians from other offices (Switzerland, USA, Germany, and Italy).
  • Supporting/managing clients' interactions, such as project meetings/calls, workshops, suppliers engagement.
  • Supporting various project teams in helping the clients in their understanding and implementation of solutions.

  • Location : France (office in Paris) or Germany (office in Berlin) - hybrid/remote
  • Frequent collaboration with other Quantis branches (Switzerland, USA, Germany, and Italy) via web-conferences
