Position Description:

You will work as part of our international team of Data Scientists, developing and implementing data science algorithms in ei3 that work on machine data to

  • identify machine issues,
  • assist operators, or
  • identify process or quality issues.

Projects often are sponsored by existing ei3 clients that wish to have specific data science solutions built for their machines; in these cases, you will work closely with our clients to review their data and develop a deep understanding of their machines and industrial processes.

This position is an outstanding opportunity to work with a seasoned, high-profile, international team of data scientists. ei3’s Data Science team is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, and you will work closely with our Zurich team, with the opportunity to spend time in Switzerland on a regular basis.

We are looking for young talent with up-to-date skills in data science, as well as seasoned software development professionals with a keen interest in advanced numerical processing. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are key. A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer & Information Science from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience is a minimum requirement.


Duties:

  • Work as part of the ei3 Data Science team and our ei3 clients to understand client objectives and goals with regard to data science.
  • Be self-motivated to develop creative, “outside the box” approaches and solutions. Find ways to implement those as part of a highly performant, productive industrial environment.
  • Adhere to ei3’s established processes and tools.
  • Participate and contribute to the overall development of the ei3 Data Science team.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement, including coding practices, standards and tools.

Requirements

  • Proficient with standard Data Science tooling environments, such as the Python data science stack.
  • Proficient working with Linux operating systems.
  • Solid data and statistical intuition and understanding
  • Fluent in English reading, writing and speaking.
