As a member of the Peacock Video Quality & CDN Team, you will perform complex data analysis, design and create queries across multiple data sets and make them available for consumption through dashboards and/or ad hoc reports.
Working alongside Data Engineers and CDN Architects, you will deliver key insights and analytics that will help make better business decisions, improve KPIs and deep dive on issues particular to video and ad delivery systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily trend analysis on Core video KPIs
  • Serve as the regional Video Metrics SME, interfacing with other technology domains and providing expertise to support, development and operations teams
  • Work with front end RUM and backend KPI data
  • Work with ML-based alerting and anomaly detection systems
  • Play an integral role in the contribution towards the international supplier choice and commercial management strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant field
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working with video or similar data sets
  • Solid understanding of telecommunication & Internet technologies
  • Solid understanding of IP video chain (e.g. encoding, packaging, origin later; network integration)
  • Experience in video performance management
  • Ability to oversee communications concerning CDNs including presentations to executives and building detailed design documentation
  • Experience with creating data visualizations to communicate metric performance.
  • Experience with statistical analysis or data modeling techniques.
  • Experience building data infrastructure and implementing reporting solutions.
  • Experience with Google and Amazon Cloud tools is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deal with ambiguity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Background in utilizing SQL/Python to extract, manipulate, and analyze datasets.

  • Strong analytical skills with a ‘join-the-dots’ approach
  • Knowledge of data analytics, modelling and statistical analysis
  • Experience working as part of a geographically distributed team
  • Proactive, independent, and able to articulate to a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Should be a problem solver with an open mind and an eagerness to pick-up new skills
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working with video or similar data sets
  • Solid understanding of telecommunication & Internet technologies
  • Telecommunications industry experience (or similar e.g. academia). BSc / MSc / PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
