Company Description

Hello, we're UW.

We’re a bunch of great people working together, solving problems and having fun. Together, we strive to find solutions to help the great people around us get on with the things that really matter in life.

How? It’s simple, we take the headache out of essential home services by providing them all in one place – energy, broadband, mobile, and even insurance. That’s one provider, one account, one bill, and lots of savings.

We’re a truly unique FTSE 250 company with a business model that has a real social impact at the heart of it. Being a part of the UW community, you’ll join a working environment like no other - one where everyone matters - be it our customers, our partners or you, our people.

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Senior Data Analyst  to join our Customer Experience (CX) Data Team. You will work in a team alongside other analysts, a Data Scientist and a Data Engineer to develop insights for stakeholders, primarily Product Managers in the CX Product team. This role requires hands-on activities and is fully embedded in the delivery of technical solutions.

In particular, you will have the opportunity to explore and address critical questions, such as::

  1. How can we reduce call propensity and engage our customers via our digital channels?

  2. What features need to be developed in the CRM application that agents are using to serve customers better?

  3. How can we improve overall customer experience and customer interactions with UW?

What you’ll do

  • Engage with business and product teams to develop and deliver data analytics projects, actionable insight and recommendations

  • Translate complex information into requirements and business processes and work with stakeholders to prioritise projects and ask the right questions

  • Create visualisations (we use Looker/Data Studio) and manage strategic dashboards/KPI reporting

  • Work with Data Engineers to develop/adjust data models as required

  • Teach, mentor and support more junior data analysts

  • Drive the adoption of optimisation and experimentation in your core analytics area

About you

  • Previous experience in business insights and data analytics (exploratory and descriptive analysis)

  • Experience in data storytelling

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and data visualisation tools (we use Looker). Experience with Python is desired.

  • Experience with BQ / GCP / Data studio / Terraform will be beneficial

  • Analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to manage the time to produce high-quality work with deadlines

  • Familiarity with SaaS would be ideal (Mixpanel/Google Analytics, CDP, MVT platforms etc.)

  • Ability to work within a diverse team spanning business leaders, product managers, software engineers and data scientists.

  • Experience in customer support analytics or CX analytics is advantageous
