Job Description

Data analytics is a natural evolution of an established audit function and a strategic growth area for FIS Internal Audit (IA). The team consists of analysts with audit and data analytics expertise that perform control testing using analytical techniques and tools. Auditors will work collaboratively with business stakeholders, peer data analysts, and IA colleagues to create and tune analytical models to enable comprehensive, efficient audit testing and results.

What you will be doing

  • Apply risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered and identify potential issues
  • Communicate issues timely and effectively, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk
  • Supervise junior auditors assigned to engagements providing guidance and overall review of deliverables
  • Develop audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
  • Obtain and reviews evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable department and professional standards
  • Organize personal effort along with those of junior auditors to be risk-based, productive and efficient
  • Ensure adequate focus on personal professional growth relevant to taking on more challenging assignments, including proactively seek relevant education and training opportunities

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or technology or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience preferred
  • One or more relevant professional certifications (i.e. CompTIA Data+, CISA, CISSP, CIA, CPA, or CFE) preferred
  • Possess an appropriate combination of technical expertise in fields such as auditing, data analysis, statistics, or investigations, including experience using data analysis tools (SQL, Galvanize (ACL), PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Observe and understand business processes ensuring processes are documented completely and accurately
  • Apply audit standards through practical application
  • Proactive in researching business best practice concepts to apply during testing
  • Solid listening skills and ability to identify gaps in logic
  • Strong organization and follow up skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments
  • Flourish in a fast-paced, complex environment and adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges
  • Give and follow instructions accurately and efficiently; proactive in asking clarifying questions to ensure work effort is directed toward desired outcome
  • Solid understanding and ability to apply risk and control concepts
  • Identify underlying cause of an issue raised
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a proactive manner to avoid surprises
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to new circumstances, information, and challenges.
  • Executes effective and thorough application of all internal audit standards within assigned responsibility
  • Ability and willingness for limited travel domestically and internationally
  • Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude
