Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Internal Global Marketing Data and Insights team. The Marketing Data Engineer will help the creation of descriptive and predictive analysis for the Marketing Analytics team. You will develop and maintain processes to move data from source systems into data marts, and ultimately data visualizations/analytics platforms. You will create data pipelines and processes to support Analytics Dashboards and Business Performance Analytics.

You will create new data marts, develop enhancements, and fix defects in existing data solutions to meet business requirements. Meet with stakeholders and gather business and user requirements and use this information to define and develop technical specifications and processes for design, coding, and testing of data products.

You will be a member of the Marketing Technology team and report directly to the Director of Marketing Technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build database solutions to aggregate data for identification and analysis, enabling the creation of interactive Dashboards within Business Intelligence tools to help the Marketing Analytics team have a comprehensive view of all marketing lead sources, campaigns and performance.
  • Work with data sets from a variety of sources including but not limited to: Salesforce CRM, Marketing Automation Platform (Pardot), Adobe Analytics, Google Marketing Platform, Social Media partners and other AdTech partners.
  • Facilitate data integration and transformation requirements for moving data between applications, ensuring interoperability of applications with data mart and CDP environments.
  • Engineer scalable data solutions that analysts and stakeholders can use for data visibility needs.
  • Support ad hoc requests to extract, transform, and load data sets from existing tools and systems.
  • Design and implement automated processes that extract, transform, and load data sets where needed.
  • Assist data quality initiatives by engineering solutions to enforce data accuracy and governance policies.
  • Recommend additional data products which align with business objectives.
  • Work with the privacy and legal teams to ensure the implementations are GDPR, and CCPA compliant.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Digital Marketing, or other relevant field of study.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Data Engineer or related role. A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
  • Focus on Marketing Data Engineering preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in scripting languages (like SQL, Python or R) used in extraction, transformation, and loading of large data sets.
  • 2-4 years of experience working with modern data technologies stack such as Databricks, Google Big Query, Redshift, RDS, Snowflake or similar solutions.
  • Working knowledge of public cloud providers (Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS).
  • Exposure to data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT, and reporting/analytic tools.
  • Experience with ETL tools (Matillion) and dbt (data build tool).
  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Domo, Tableau, PowerBI, or Datorama.
  • Experience with a CDP like Segment, Tealium Audience Stream, or Adobe Real-Time CDP is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, and Salesforce Pardot(MAP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics web data sets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate updates on progress and timelines.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical terms in an easy to understand, non-technical manner.
  • Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams in a results-driven culture.
