Job Description

The eLake is a multi-purpose analytics platform for Bosch eBike Systems and consists of a traditional DWH (Oracle 19c) and a Big Data Hadoop environment. You will be the go-to person for all monitoring related topics.

Tasks:

  • Onboarding new applications into our monitoring and continuously improving the monitoring infrastructure of the eLake and defining best practices;
  • Responsible for defining alerts and thresholds with app and operation team and act if thresholds are exceeded;
  • Carrying out consultancy and expertise missions in relation to log analysis and detection;
  • Gathering and analyzing functional requirements to propose monitoring implementation improvements;
  • Taking part in the design and implementation of big data monitoring solutions, for example: integration of Splunk.

Expectations:

  • Owning the eLake monitoring as one part of our eBike analytics platform;
  • Bringing in your own ideas for the platform design and it's further roadmap;
  • Supporting the development team with setting up monitoring for their applications;
  • Enablement of development team to integrate their monitoring ideas;
  • Define and provide high quality documentation and process descriptions.

Qualifications

Profile:

  • Several years of experience using monitoring tools, especially Splunk for monitoring infrastructure;
  • Solid expertise of Oracle 19c and Cloudera Hadoop Eco-System;
  • Coordination skills to facilitate between different stakeholders (Oracle/Hadoop Operations, Development Team, Governance/Security);
  • Design and Implementation of a monitoring concept for the Oracle Platform and Hadoop Eco-System;
  • Knowledge of Apache Airflow and integration of Big Data monitoring solutions would be a plus.
