As a core senior member in data analytics team, you will oversee analytics solutions, implement and deploy descriptive, predictive and prescriptive statistical models. Equipped with strong statistics and computer science fundamentals, you will partake in both machine learning and deep learning projects across the APAC region, and ongoing maintenance with precision and accuracy. Entrepreneurship and design thinking mindset are big plus in creating data analytics use cases in an integrated communications context.
This role reports to the Regional Senior Director of Digital Innovation Group.
Core Responsibilities:
Client Work 90%
- Conceive, plan, and prioritize communications and marketing data projects
- Build predictive models, machine-learning algorithms and analytic systems, and combine models through ensemble modeling
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Generate prescriptive insights both tactical and strategic to improve marketing effectiveness
- Support the management with the day-to-day operations of the data team
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Collaborate with client service teams to generate insights and analysis
- Present information using data visualization techniques
- Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
- Advising and training senior leaders and other professionals to work with and understand organizational data
Agency 10%
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, consumer behaviors, research resources, and analytics methodologies
- Support senior team members in the digital team to develop data and insights analysis product offerings
- Work collaboratively with the global team to align on global standards and share best practices
- Advance the team’s capabilities for using statistics and machine learning in analyzing digital trends and quantitative research
- Initiate/participate in the agency’s own insights reports for industry thought leadership building and marketing
- Be on alert for new business opportunities with existing and potential clients
- Leverage your experience and passions to come up with ideas or thoughtful questions that trigger new ideas to drive our continued growth
Requirements
Knowledge & experiences
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree with a major in either Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, or a related discipline
- 5-8 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
- Experience in data mining and understanding of machine learning and operations research
- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI/ Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)
- Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python; familiarity with Scala, Javascript or C++ is an asset

- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Analytical bent of mind with problem solving aptitude
- Comfortable presenting data and providing recommendations with confidence to senior level stakeholders and other practices even when there is ambiguity involved
- Comfortable presenting in front of large groups of people for training purposes, sharing insights, and pitching to clients
