WHY LACEWORK NEEDS YOU
We are looking for you — an enthusiastic Analytics Engineer — to help scale the new Lacework Data & Analytics team.
You will be one of the pioneering members of the team with ample opportunity to shape the decisions and the direction of the company. You enjoy working cross functionally and are excited about the impact data can have in our business, product and our customers’ experience. You are also a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, pays close attention to detail and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful you will:
- Be a key player in our journey to create a metrics-driven cadence at Lacework
- Develop an understanding of Lacework’s business and the data structures behind all the business and product metrics
- Develop our data infrastructure and create the automation, documentation and processes to ensure our metrics are understood and adopted company-wide
- Establish best practices around data model governance, data sharing, and scalable reporting (by creating self-serve models) in partnership with business and product teams
- Build strong cross functional partnerships and ensure reporting consistency across the organization
- Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process/metrics improvement
- Actively participate in recruiting team members and provide mentorship to new members of the team
- Demonstrate good communication skills and present work to company leadership and at company-wide events
Your Professional Profile:
- Degree in quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or other related field)
- 4+ years experience doing quantitative analysis; experience in software industry (and SaaS) a plus
- 4+ years experience with SQL; familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python) a plus
- Comfort managing large datasets using relational databases and automating workflows (e.g., cleaning and manipulating data from multiple sources)
- Experience with cloud data warehouse technologies (e.g. Snowflake)
- Experience with building robust and scalable data models for analytics with development framework (e.g. dbt)
- Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
- You have experience with using git (or similar tools) for version control and change management
- Strong problem-solving ability, high attention to detail and rigor, can-do attitude and desire to learn
- Strong cross-functional and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate technical content to general audiences
- Entrepreneurial in nature - able to keep moving initiatives forward in ambiguous situations
Comp: Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000 USD Annually + Bonus + Equity+ Benefits (including health, dental, wellness reimbursement, BetterUp coaching/learning programs, and more)
