Percipient.ai is currently seeking to hire a Sr. Back-End Software Engineer to join our Machine Learning Team. We have developed unique, patent pending, core CV/ML technology powering a product actively used by our customers. We are seeking a Sr. Backend SWE to help us continue to deliver highly-impactful features on our roadmap. This position will work collaboratively with other engineers, product managers, AI and Computer Vision scientists, and other engineering teams to build scalable back-end systems, services, tools, and APIs that power our product.
This position will be based out of our Santa Clara, CA headquarters and will allow for some remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and propose innovative and impactful features
• Take ownership of major parts of the software
• Have a keen eye towards software quality and maintainability
• Help ship releases at a reasonably fast pace
• Continually innovate, working with scientists, engineers, and product managers

Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 7+ years of relevant experience; MS or PhD a plus 
• Proven track record of building large-scale distributed systems
• Deep expertise in at least two of Python, Go, C++, Java, Scala, etc
• Strong experience with Linux-based operating systems
• Expertise in machine learning, NLP, or computer vision is a big plus
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, MxNet, PyTorch, etc. also a big plus
• A passion to deliver innovation into the hands of customers
• US citizenship required due to federal requirements
