Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Analyze regulatory and business requirements, translate them into appropriate data quality checks and changes to ISO's data intake and data management systems.
• Create, modify, and execute queries to extract, transform and summarize data from internal databases.
• Execute data quality procedures that operate either at the individual record level or at the aggregate level; interpret the results; and assist data contributors to resolve data quality problems.
• Understand and take ownership of our business processes, and recommend improvements in data management, error identification, quality control, or process automation.
• Present your analyses, ideas, progress and results to internal manager and colleagues.  Create clear and easy to understand reports.
• Assist with creating technical specifications for IT development, and with creating and executing detailed test plans to validate system changes against functional and quality assurance requirements.
• Support a high-performance collaborative culture. 
• Participate in peer-review with colleagues on an ongoing basis to learn, teach, and ultimately, produce high quality results.
• Build and maintain proper documentation, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (speaking and writing) is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Word and a working knowledge of MS Office applications (Access, PowerPoint).
• Practical experience in data creation / manipulation / transformation / migration using tools such as MS Excel, (SQL, VBA, Python, R , SAS, Alteryx will be an asset).
• Bachelor's degree with a major in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
• Experience with large (>10,000 row) datasets or datasets of mixed quality desired.
