Job Description

ARHS Developments is looking for a skilled Data Engineer with relevant experience in the context of Business Intelligence (ETL, Data Quality & Data Analytics) for the European Institutions.

The selected candidate will join a close-knit team in charge of the Grants Data & Results reporting activities and support all Research, Innovation & other activities covered by the team.

More specifically, his/her activities will support the data needs for all programmes, the functional requirements and business case analysis, the improvement of the current information system including the business architecture model, the participation to the drafting, organisation and follow up of the work packages, releases and sprint plans, the enterprise architect data model maintenance and upgrades, the team guidance and follow up on the implementation of ETL processes and the testing and validation of ETL processes and data quality.

Role & Responsibilities

• Create business architecture models that reflect the organization’s strategies and goals
• Integrate the project and program strategies and ensure alignment with business strategies and drivers, and management priorities
• Identify ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership
• Evaluate systems for discrepancies or vulnerabilities
• Conduct research to find ways to improve operations
• Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance
• Implement a multi-year work plan
• Architecture and design of information systems
• Review of the architecture of existing systems
• Management of quality tests
• Assistance and support to Business Intelligence developers
• Functional requirements, business case analysis & gathering business intelligence requirements
• Data modelling
• Writing of technical documentation & user manuals
• Assistance with deployment & configuration of the system
• Participation in meetings with other project teams

Qualifications

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent by experience
• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment on multiple large projects
• Rapid self-starting capability
• Excellent Team Player
• Good written and spoken skills in English
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required
• Leadership and conciliation skills

Technical skills

• At least 5 years of specific expertise with SAS
• At least 1 year of experience in Cloud & Big Data
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture (and tools such as Enterprise Architect)
• Experience developing & building models based on such frameworks
• Experience defining and implementing strategies
• Ability to combine many skills and experiences to address & solve business, information, and technology related opportunities & problems
• Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices and goals
• Promotion skills (“selling” the results of architectural approaches through presentations)
• Analysis and design
• Modelling and graphical representations and abstractions
• In depth knowledge of information systems and the datawarehouses
• Experience with complex application environments
• In depth knowledge of designing Business Intelligence Systems, ETL
• Working experience with Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL.
