    Job Description

    Gameloft is searching for a skilled and self-motivated Data Engineer to join our central analytics engineering team.

    This role will collaborate very closely with data analysts, data scientists, peer data engineers and analytical engineers to continuously improve big data analytics solutions for the whole company.

    This role is fully focused in shaping the data so it’s structured, clean, usable and understandable for our clients: game teams, user acquisition, advertising, and other departments inside the company.

    The ideal candidate would have good work ethic, a strong technical background with a focus on working with data and attention to detail.

    Our technology stack includes modern SaaS BI solutions including Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse, Looker, as well as other open source and internal tools deployed in our AWS Cloud accounts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assemble large, complex data sets into models that meet the analytics needs for a variety of clients.
    • Employ industry best practices for building ETL/ELT solutions with a strong focus on data quality: reliability, consistency, and accuracy.
    • Create production ready data pipelines with monitoring, alerts, QoS metrics, etc.
    • Identify, design, and implement data process improvements: optimize data delivery, redesign for greater scalability, and others.
    • Provide support to other data practitioners including data science, data analysts, data stewards, etc.

    Qualifications

    • At least 1 year of proven track record as a Data Engineer, BI Engineer or Analytical Engineer.
    • Knowledge of SQL, DML and DDL best practices.
    • Experience building, orchestrating, and optimizing data pipelines, and data sets.
    • Knowledge on ETL processes, tools, and Data modelling techniques.
    • Familiar with a general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java, C#, etc.
    • Ability to understand the data in depth, with a keen eye to detail.
    • Good communication, you are both a team player and a self-contributor.

    Big Pluses:

    • Working knowledge of Snowflake or other Data Warehouse solutions.
    • Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
    • Knowledge of Airflow or other process orchestration technologies.
    • Previous experience with dbt.
    • Experience working in an Agile environment.
