About the Content Curation & Optimization (CCO) TeamAs Canva’s reach continues to skyrocket, we aim to make Canva the go-to place for all design needs on the web. This involves ensuring that the thousands of new photos and graphics that are uploaded in the Canva library every week contain correct metadata.
It is critical that all the beautiful content that is being created and uploaded to Canva every single day by our teams, contributors and partners, is consistently tagged and described by our Metadata Reviewers and Curators. This is the cornerstone of providing a world-class search and discovery experience for all Canva users.

What you’ll do..
- Lead a team of Metadata Optimization Leads & Metadata QA (Quality Assurance) Specialists;
- Ownership of the Metadata Operations roadmap
- Performance reporting to the team, sub-group, and group
- Lead staffing operations of the team including hiring contractors
- Craft and update training modules and guidelines (internal & external) for Metadata;
- Ensure metadata quality for Canva’s content library is exceptional and constantly improving;
- Support and empower the Metadata Team by providing knowledge-sharing sessions (technical, learning-related, soft skills related, etc) and assisting Reviewers with troubleshooting issues.

- Team leadership and operations experience
- Team coaching, mentorship, and training experience

- Experience with keyword optimization and/or metadata entry
- Exceptional understanding of the English language, including a wide range of cultural references and concepts
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Great attention to detail
