About the PositionAs a member of our engineering team, you will be designing and building a state-of-the-art platform for analyzing data that measures online attention. Our challenge is to transform abstract data into insight and narrative through elegant and informative data visualization tools. 
About the Data Science & Research Team at PredataAt Predata, we’ve built a predictive analytics platform that enables customers to anticipate global events and market moves by better understanding human behavior through alternative data and machine learning. About YouYou’re passionate about uncovering insights hidden in data. You enjoy the process of transforming raw datasets into useful data products. You’re excited to work collaboratively with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to build solutions. You want to work for an organization where the mission matters. You know how to diagnose and address system scalability challenges. You take ownership of code bases you work on and constantly think of new ways to improve testing, monitoring, and developer tooling. You prototype and iterate rapidly. You’re self-motivated to learn new skills and technologies.

What To Expect In This Position:

• Build robust, maintainable microservices that manage terabyte-scale data
• Work closely with data scientists and software engineers to develop and deploy new features
• Manage task pipelines that scale to millions of jobs efficiently and reliably
• Develop high-performance data storage solutions
• Validate, ingest, and productionize new datasets
• Typical Projects:
• Develop efficient approaches for scanning millions of time series for anomalies
• Build systems for recommendation and text search over multiple content types
• Incorporate taxonomies for organizing and filtering data
• Automatically identify semantic relationships between pieces of content
• Design data storage strategies that support quick lookups over billions of entities
