Job Description

As (Senior-) Data Management Expert for data science, you are responsible for handling the data life cycle for data-centric projects. You will be joining a fast-growing team of consultants, data scientists, and data engineers to bring cutting-edge technological solutions to our clients. You will design processes throughout the data life cycle covering aspects like metadata management and data quality. You will select and customize data management software solutions including customization in advanced features like machine learning in data quality. To provide end-to-end data solutions you will also optimize the existing data architecture and integrate the products within the IT environment of the client.

In this role, depending on your strengths and on the project, you may also take responsibility for data architecture, ETL pipelines, data management reporting, and quality assurance and documentation to build efficient and state-of-the-art data architecture and data management frameworks. Your work will focus on designing processes and implementing data management infrastructure that leverages the data for business use cases. You’ll work closely with our consultants in the field, refining the design, covering the business requirements, and ensuring an optimal monetization of data in data strategy projects for companies in the finance, health, and telecommunication industry.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a scientific field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Machine Learning, Physics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent work experience and have demonstrated experience in data management and data engineering
  • Database Technologies – Knowledge of working with data models and databases (including relational and document-based and key-value stores; e.g., Postgres, SQL Server, Cassandra, Redis)
  • Data Management – Experience in defining and implementing data management frameworks (including data governance, metadata management, data lifecycle, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Management Software (e.g. Informatica, Collibra, Talend, etc.) - configuring the software to support business processes (e. g. technical and business lineage, data catalog, etc.)  
  • Cloud Technologies – Experience in working on cloud infrastructures and cloud-based analytics systems (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
  • Programming Languages - Coding knowledge in common programming and query languages (Java, Scala, SQL, Python)
  • Very good command of  English (both spoken and written)
