Job Description

Support and lead the delivery of analytical solutions, primarily modelling and optimisation-based deliveries, using best practice analytical techniques, to deliver a range of benefits to both Experian’s clients and the end consumer.

Key Responsibilities:

MANAGING CLIENT/CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

  • Act as the main day to day client/customer solution contact ensuring regular and consistent information is given to the client/customer.
  • Support other departments/divisions within Experian in managing the client, ensuring that client commitments are understood and met as part of the project.
  • Proactively identify potential risks in achieving client/project timescales, taking all possible action to minimise risk.
  • Take responsibility for prompt resolution of both internal and external queries and questions.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the development of the client solutions.
  • Develops strong working relationships with managers and executives within client organisations to achieve project objectives.
  • Add value to client’s business by recommending beneficial solutions.
  • Balance short term sales needs with longer term relationship requirements.
  • Build sufficient knowledge of clients’ values and business model to ensure our solutions fully meet their needs.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of the project deliverables, for the project work meeting client/customer objectives and being delivered to schedule and within budget.

CONSULTING CAPABILITY

  • Design analytics solutions to client’s problems in any area of customer and credit risk management and analytics, using Experian analytics solutions to match best practice.
  • Engage in a consultative way with the client, to identify problems and define, design and deliver analytics solutions, with a particular expertise in credit risk modelling and/or optimisation techniques.
  • Present proposals to clients for analytics solutions, including recommendations.
  • Provide consultancy on the potential ‘bigger picture’ strategies.
  • Regularly present to clients to ensure they understand the functionality and benefits of Experian’s products in solving business problems.
  • Promote new and creative ideas which satisfy clients’ requirements, but maintain the discipline needed to ensure that solutions can be implemented on time and to budget.
  • Present business cases for new product development.

PRE-SALES AND SALES SUPPORT

Support the Head of Custom Analytics and Senior Consultants by contributing to scoping, pricing and contract materials before sharing with Head of Custom Analytics for approval.

  • Co-ordinate with Experian’s Analytics Pre-Sales team to contribute to sales opportunities and support the conversion of sales prospects.
  • Contribute to winning new business from new and existing customers – nurture and enhance existing client relationships; identify and progress opportunities to enhance existing solutions and cross sell other products and services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts.
  • Input to contractual negotiations to ensure successful delivery of analytics solutions, products and services to the client.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent standard, with a high numeric content e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Physical Sciences.
  • Functional experience gained from within Experian, the credit industry or similar, ideally with at least one year’s experience in a Consultant role.
  • Detailed understanding of at least one market sector.
  • Has broad knowledge of Analytics principles, concepts and practices in the field of credit risk scoring and/or optimisation techniques
  • Able to shape and define solutions matched to requirements.
  • Ability to build and maintain solid long-term relationships.
  • Excellent presentation and analytical skills.
  • Commercially astute with excellent financial acumen.
  • Understands key profit drivers of Experian’s business.
