Job Description

• Candidate will work on the control optimization of commercial and residential HVAC system
• Develop algorithms based on Reinforcement Learning to achieve energy and thermal comfort targets
• Compare different RL algorithms and evaluate strategies to optimize training time (e.g. federated learning)
• Perform tests on live testbed to evaluate performance of the algorithms

Qualifications

• Able to work full time/part-time for a period of 6 months (Jan 2023 to Jun 2023)
• Undergraduate or graduate studies in Computer Science and Engineering or similar with focus on AI and data science
• Experience with AI and data science packages (Pytorch, Tensorflow, Pandas, Numpy)
• Knowledge of Reinforcement Learning theory and tools (such as Stable Baselines, OpenAI Gym) will be favored.
