Our business is growing fast and we need motivated individuals to help us to make better data driven decisions working closely with our sales and marketing teams. We are looking for a Data Scientist, Analytics who is experienced individual who can translate our business questions and strategies into data products that enable better data driven decisions. We are rapidly improving our data function so this is an exciting opportunity to come in and leave a tangible mark on our business using your soft skills, technical experience, statistics toolbox, scientific mentality, and product mindset.

As a Data Scientist, Analytics your responsibilities include,

  • Translate business questions and strategies into clear measurable data products that provide impact to Allurion
  • Design, create, and evaluate data products (Metrics, Definitions, Dashboards, Apps, etc.)
  • Own and catalog data products from the sales and marketing teams for stakeholders to consume and understand what trusted data is available
  • Design data product validation to ensure that data is reliable and consistent to use making decisions
  • Perform statistical analysis on sales and marketing data to provide reliable signals of the truth
  • Design experiments and AB tests to promote data driven decision making
  • Develop machine learning models that have tangible business impact

What we are looking for in you,

  • 3+ years experience post Bachelors degree (or comparable work experience) performing detailed data analysis
  • Degree in a data science discipline (Social Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics etc.)
  • Exemplar interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in English (C2 level min.), significant experience working internationally with English as business language.
  • 5+ years experience computer programing with experience with both interpreted (Python, R) and compiled (C++, Java) programming languages
  • Strong SQL and data manipulation and cleaning skills
  • Excellent understanding of statistics (sampling, distributions, probability theory, experiment design, regression etc.)
  • Great data visualization skills including dashboard design and management (experience with open source and BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Domo, Looker etc)
  • Self-motivated, problem-solver, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
  • Rigorous, very detail-oriented, efficient at multi-tasking, and strong organizational skills with impeccable execution. You prefer simple solutions and are obsessed with quality.
  • Team player with a good sense of humor
  • Experience working within international environment and with cross-functional remote teams
  • Ability to work hybrid in the Paris office

What we would love to see in you,

  • Demonstrated ability at producing data products that have impact
  • Experience with sale and marketing data analysis
  • Proven examples of experiment design, machine learning projects, or other relevant portfolio experience
  • Experience with data regulation (like GDPR, HIPPA)
