Data Migration Engineer / Data Analyst

We currently have a vacancy for an agile and highly motivated Data Migration Engineer / Data Analyst, passionate with databases, data analysis, and data migration. The candidate will work in the premises of the company in Athens and/or remotely. The successful candidate will join a highly professional team that uses state-of-the-art technologies to implement challenging IT software projects, for major international public organizations. The candidate will receive adequate training and support to develop his/her career expectations.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Study, extract and analyse data from various data sources, elaborating a quality data analysis;
• Create an inventory of all data that needs to be migrated;
• Provide technical support for the smooth and efficient data migration process;
• Create test cases for the migration testing and verification;
• Create relevant business and technical documentation;
• Automate the migration process through CI tools (e.g. Jenkins);
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of migrated data;
• Collaborate in a multinational environment, adhering to highly professional standards and methods.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or other related fields;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Experience as a business/data analyst;
• Experience with modern database systems (MSQL, Postgres);
• Software development experience using statistical computer languages (Python), including programming skills in JAVA and SQL;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English;
• Experience with ETL (Extract, transform, load) and ELT methods, for data extraction and manipulation.
