As a Senior PowerBI developer you will be responsible for the gathering of requirements and development of dashboards to be included into the Enterprise Reporting Systems of IO Global. You will be working within a Scrum team of 5 people, delivering with an Agile approach providing incremental product inputs on a 2 week sprint basis. You will be liaising with all of the Departments and Tribes of the company, which will provide you the 360 degree view of how the entire organization functions. This will also position yourself in a key role that will allow you to provide operational improvements and suggestions up to the C-level.

Your mission

  • Run workshops with stakeholders, helping them understand the data available and what reports can be attained providing best practices on UI and visualizations
  • Continuously keeping Jira tickets up to date to keep the entire Scrum team updated on your progress
  • Working with developers to identify new, useful data points that the business can leverage on
  • Management of existing or creation of new SQL queries for optimisation and requested changes
  • Maintaining documentation/instructions on data input and dashboard usage on Confluence, ensuring stakeholders are not required to reach out you directly for answers on reports’ utilization
  • Communicating well with non-technical people who might be working in sales, finance, HR and marketing department , and helping turn their business requirements into new reports.

Requirements

Your expertise

  • 3+ years of working experience with SQL and PowerBI
  • T-SQL skills
  • PowerBI (PL300) certified
  • Clear communications of insights and observations gleaned from BI data using reports and charts
  • Python
  • SQL Database design skills (normalized & dimensional form, indexing and query optimisation)
  • Performance tuning SQL server and Index Management
  • Maintaining and designing ETL packages using SSIS or Azure Data Factory
  • Knowledge of GDPR Policy.
  • A demonstration of your ability to manipulate data is required during the interview process.
  • Addionally, a demonstration of a portfolio would be helpful and support you in the interview process.
