OVERVIEW & IMPACT:

Samsung SOC Lab in San Diego is looking for passionate engineer interns with start-up spirit, and innovative but execution-oriented mindset who will join the team responsible for developing world-class cellular modem solutions. The candidate is expected to conduct advanced research and development in the areas of physical layer design including AI/machine-learning algorithms, advanced modem algorithm design for 5G-advanced/6G, receiver architecture design for sub-6 GHz and mmWave, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop demodulation algorithms for a baseband modem processor
• Develop deep learning algorithms for a cellular modem development
• Research physical layer algorithms for 5G-advanced / 6G
• Build link level simulators using MATLAB, C/C++, Shell scripts, Pythons, etc
• Research fundamentals in communication theory and digital signal processing.
• Show strong analytical and problem-solving skills

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Research experiences in wireless communication technologies
• Background of communication theory, signal processing, machine learning.
• Ability to design an architecture using MATLAB, C/C++, Shell scripts, Pythons, etc
• Conducting advanced researches on both cellular and machine learning technologies
• Professional coding skill is preferred
