Rec Room is growing rapidly, with our data growing even faster. We’re looking for experienced data professionals to come and out the foundational infrastructure at Rec Room.

As the Analytics Engineering Lead, you'll drive the vision for our data warehouse and analytics layer, setting us up to scale in both the number of players and internal users. You’ll manage our growing AE team, mentoring and building out best practices, and encouraging a culture of learning. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage our growing team of Analytics Engineers, with a focus on hiring and scaling the team.
  • Partner with PMs, designers, engineers, and data scientists to define a data vision that will support our many uses, including analyses, experimentation, machine learning, and feeding data back into the product.
  • Architect the data warehouse modeling layer and establish the patterns and processes which will serve as the foundation for scaling our data.
  • Become an expert in our stack, which includes prefect, Fivetran, dbt, Rudderstack, databricks, among others. Drive the vision for unifying these tools into a single seamless warehouse.
  • Identify gaps in our data collection processes and collaborate with product and engineering to iterate and improve current methodologies.
  • Design and implement top-level company dashboards to serve as the source of truth for company performance.
  • Build out experimentation datasets and pipelines to allow for granular analysis of A/B tests.
  • Partner with ML teams to build out data models to be used in model deployment
  • Work with partner teams to build datasets that will impact production, such as creator and player statistics.
  • Build out systems to evaluate ML model performance.
