What You’ll Do

Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. in San Diego is seeking an experienced Computational Photography and Computer Vision Researcher for their Multimedia Systems Group for the on-going project.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Diego, CA office 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

  • To research and develop novel cutting-edge technologies for deep learning, computational photography, and computer vision (e.g. disparity estimation, image fusion, 3D reconstruction and photography, super resolution, semantic segmentation, human pose estimation and gesture recognition, denoising, demosaicking, sharpening, AR/VR, SLAM, etc.).
  • To produce key intellectual property and research papers in the area of computational photography, computer vision, image/video signal processing, and deep learning.
  • Prepare presentations, technical reports and patent applications that reflect the results.

What You Bring

  • Expertise in image and video processing, computational photography, computer vision, machine learning and neural networks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • C/C++, Python, and MATLAB coding skills, popular deep learning frameworks.
  • MS with extensive industry experience or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • Publications in highly ranked journals and conferences.
  • BS + 5 years of exp | MS + 3 years of exp | PhD + O year of exp
