Job Description

Data are key to the current global energy transition. Do you want to make impact to your cause and push renewable energies to next levels using your expertise? This is the place to be!

In our Business Unit Offshore we obtain and analyse weather data to optimize our offshore construction works; weather data are also analysed to support our projects building up their business cases. We assess resource (people) related data to understand how many people we need in which project phase. We are continuously looking into how we can broaden the data basis which is subject to our analysis and are running innovative projects to understand e.g. how we can apply artificial intelligence in our projects.

Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like Solar and Batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation and solar and batteries installations in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK

We’re now looking for a Junior Data Analyst in Business Unit Offshore Wind.

What will you do?

As Junior Data Analyst you have the following key responsibilities:

  • You support several Offshore Wind projects in analysing installation scenarios and assessing the weather impact; you do this mainly to optimize the offshore installation works and to build up the project business case;
  • During construction you manage and operate our Daily Progress Reports tool to track progress of the installation works and to show performance of our subcontractors doing the installation;
  • You provide input to our Project Planner enabling them to build up a robust project schedule, capturing all project activities including the expected weather downtime;
  • You manage, develop and maintain the tools we use for data analysis;
  • You engage with several stakeholders across the BU Offshore organisation to understand how we can improve our data analysis to even better support our BU Offshore projects.

Location is flexibel
We work as a hybrid team from several locations like Kolding, Amsterdam, Hamburg and London.
