The role

We are looking to add a Senior Analytics Engineer to our fast-paced and customer-oriented R&D team. The Senior Analytics Engineer will build reporting systems and perform analysis to support the Enterprise group in identifying opportunities to improve our customer-facing data products and measure the impact of those initiatives. 

Location: We’re a remote-first company and looking to hire this person anywhere between the PST - EST timezone.

In the Senior Analytics Engineer role, you will:

• Design, create and own dashboards and reports to clearly convey progress of our most important goals
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams to identify, define, and track key metrics used for monitoring and measuring the success of our data products
• Identify the data needed for key metrics and work with engineering teams to instrument our systems to ensure availability of data
• Perform deep analysis to understand trends and opportunities in our data products and recommend actions to improve them
• Work with data from a variety of sources to perform analysis and build dimensional models for business processes
• Maintain data documentation & definitions

Who you are: 

• Strong SQL skills
• Strong Python skills
• Experience in ETL design, data modeling, implementation, and maintenance
• Experience extracting data from various systems (e.g. relational databases, API endpoints, data lakes, data warehouses) and tying this to business meaning
• Ability to perform basic statistical analysis to inform business decisions
• Proven ability to succeed in both collaborative and independent work environments
• High degree of ownership in ambiguous analytical tasks
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience working with Data Science teams
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
