About the Data Team:

As a Senior Data Analyst at Onto, you will be part of the Analytics team, responsible for Onto’s data reporting and insights strategy. You will help shape KPI reporting and support data driven decision making in this exciting new phase for Onto.

In the next 6 months we are going to be implementing our new Data warehouse so this is a great chance to work closely with the Data Engineering team and to help set the teams requirements!

Requirements

Life as a Senior Data Analyst at Onto:

• Gather analysis requirements and translate them into an analysis plan to answer business questions
• Query, organise and manipulate large datasets from a range of sources
• Create scalable, accurate reporting that meets business needs
• Build visually engaging dashboards in Tableau presenting insights in an easily digestible way for non-technical audiences
• Deliver ad hoc data analysis through a backlog prioritisation framework to support business decision making
• Establish and document key reporting processes to ensure good data governance and to maintain a single source of truth
• Collaborate with data analysts across the business to drive company-wide analytics best practices and knowledge share
• Support the identification of new sources of data and collaborate with data and analytics engineers to make sure data requirements are captured and prioritised
• Provide support and upskilling to stakeholders with any questions on Tableau dashboards / analytics requirements
• Build tools to streamline and automate processes

Ideally we are looking for:

For this role, you will need to have:

• Advanced SQL knowledge
• Proficient with a visualisation tool (We use Tablaeu)
• High attention to detail and analytical problem solving mindset
• Good presentation skills and ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audiences

It would be a bonus for you to have:

• Experience in using Python or R
• Experience with version control (e.g. Github, Bitbucket)
• Familiarity with agile framework
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques
