Job Description

Working in Trading & Origination 

 Trading & Origination is Statkraft’s central commercial unit for proprietary trading of standard and origination of non-standard energy related products and assumes the role of a market integrator for third party renewable and flexible assets encompassing the supply of power and green solutions to customers in Europe and in the US 

As an Intern in Trading & Origination you’ll: 

·       Learn about the commodities markets and trading

·       Setup processes to extract and load more data into our database

·       Extend and continue to build out our team’s analysis dashboard

·       Manage and monitor our automated tasks

Analyse and produce models from our data to aid in trading decision

Qualifications

·       University student enrolled in Computing, Maths, Electrical Engineering or similar degree

·       Strong python programming skills

·       Familiar with SQL databases

·       Familiar with automation and scripting

·       Familiar with data extraction techniques including web scraping and APIs

·       Quick learner with good critical thinking skills

·       Interest in learning about trading and financial markets

·       No financial/trading knowledge required

·       Familiar with time series data

Our team uses Python as our primary programming language, PostgreSQL for our databases and Microsoft Azure for our cloud computing services.
