Control Risks is looking to bring on a Data Analyst as a part of an embedded project with a top tier client of ours in the tech industry. This role will provide analytics support to the client's Compliance and Ethics Group's investigations practice. The investigation analytics program provides the investigations team and proactive compliance community with critical support on complex problems. Analytics and modeling work will leverage the Client's internal data, human intelligence, and other information gathered through investigations, control functions, and business-led compliance activity. The role will target a broad range of compliance risks, including but not limited to corruption, fraud, and money laundering.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, refine, and develop investigation-related data insights to solve novel, challenging problems and enhance investigation outcomes.
  • Extract and apply risk insights to drive post-investigation proactive opportunities.
  • Work with investigations attorneys and other compliance professionals to understand risks and their root causes.
  • Clearly communicate results, including the outcomes of analytics and modeling work, with appropriate understanding of the opportunities and uncertainties associated with data analyses.
  • Help PRE keep pace with best practices in the compliance analytics space.

Requirements

  • BA or BS in Statistics, Data Analysis, Social Science, Engineering, Law, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in data analysis or data science.
  • Experience in compliance, investigation, forensics, federal contracts, legal or similar problems (e.g., anti-money laundering, securities, healthcare litigation).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with SQL.
  • Passion to streamline technology and improve processes.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritizing across multiple partners and projects.
  • Experience in Power BI/DAX is a plus.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is a plus.
  • Creative, innovative, and organized with a strong drive for results.
