Senior Data Engineer

Copy.ai is a remote company. All employees must be able to work 9am-5pm in any timezone Pacific to Eastern. At this time, we are only hiring full-time roles in the USA and Canada.
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with experience in developing and managing large data infrastructure. The data engineer should be able to put together secure and scalable infra, design ETL processes and work with the product engineering team to integrate the key data.

What you'll do:

• Take ownership to build scalable and reproducible data infrastructure (warehousing, ETL pipelines, web services, and APIs)
• Data-set extraction and cleaning, launching and deploying large experiments, and developing the automated systems to launch online experiments, and statistical analysis of the results of the experiments
• Help the team implement new experimental prototypes
• Extend existing infrastructure to support new features in ML applications such as feature-stores, embedding, and experimentation velocity
• Data extraction, exploratory analysis, cleaning, and enrichment
• Build and support online experiments
• Effectively communicate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to understand objectives and motivations
• Design and implement data pipelines to process and store data

About you; You are:

• Able to work autonomously in a dynamic environment with various stakeholders
• Experience with online experiments, split testing, and automation
• Understands high-level goals in order to prioritize workload
• Experience with public-cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, and/or Azure. Bonus if you have experience in Kubernetes and Docker
• Self-motivated and passionate
• Deep understanding of ETL pipelines and data warehouses
• Familiar with SDLC best practices with experience collaborating with other developers and shipping production-quality code
• Solid quantitative and analytical foundations
• Advanced skill-level in Python.
