The ETAS Group is a subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. Our product range includes development and diagnostic tools covering the entire lifecycle of electronic control units (ECU). The ETAS Group provides comprehensive and integrated tools and tool solutions for the development and service of automotive ECUs. 

Job Description

  • [30%] Solution Development: Propose and specify tailored ETAS big data solutions that improve the customer’s vehicle development processes. Lead and manage technical interaction with customers – including providing technical presentations, introduction of new solutions, driving the resolution of critical customer issues and tracking open/closed action items. Serve as the interface between the customer, product development and product management.
  • [30%] Business Development: Support the pre-sales cycle and overall account strategy in close coordination with the account manager(s) through presentations, demonstrations, managing customer evaluation projects etc. Drive the growth of ETAS’ big data business through the identification of customer needs, proper positioning of ETAS solutions, and demonstrating a good understanding of the commercial side of each opportunity.
  • [40%] Technical Expert: Establish and maintain a strong understanding of both existing key customer as well as newer strategic customers’ vehicle development processes, especially as it relates to the recording, transfer, storage and analysis of large amounts of data. Create and maintain demo and training material for both internal and external use. Execute key evaluation and integration projects. Represent ETAS at relevant industry events as well on social media.

Qualifications

  • Engineering service/consulting project experience, including writing project proposals, project management, effort estimation, reporting, and working with team members to fulfill customer expectations and meet project deliverables.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills required – including excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills, necessary for effective customer interaction and internal cross-functional teamwork.
  • Experience in statistical analysis, data mining and machine learning in the automotive industry. Strong data analytical skills and a firm understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Programming: At least two years of experience in the administration (user and kernel space) of Linux based operating systems and HADOOP clusters. Familiar with processing large data sets on scalable servers. Experience in at least one of the following programming languages: MATLAB, R, JavaScript, Tableau, RapidMiner, Python.
  • Hands-on knowledge of vehicle electronics, vehicle communication buses and protocols (e.g., CAN, FlexRay, CCP, XCP, UDS), and vehicle diagnostics is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle subsystem development processes fundamentals is a plus.
  • Education: B.S./M.S. in EE, CE, or CS with 5+ years of relevant experience.
