Job Description

• As an Embedded AI Architect you realize the end-to-end embedded AI pilot projects in various technical domains in co-creation with the respective product business units.
• Furthermore you are responsible for the embedded development of hardware and software for connected prototypes for data logging and validation, also using common HW/SW rapid prototyping environments.
• You supervise the technical and organizational understanding of the complete end-to-end system and functional steering of small cross-domain realization teams.
• Furthermore you improve and apply embedded AI development methodologies, identify and apply appropriate approaches and tools.
• The holistic evaluation and tracking of the development effort, required competencies, opportunities and risks of ML-based functions in different products is also in your scope.
• Last but not least you document and communicate the status and reporting on technical and management level.

Qualifications

• Education: completed university studies (master's degree/diploma/PhD) in electrical engineering, physics, computer science or a comparable subject
• Personality and working practice: strong "tinker-gene", experimental, structured, self motivated, eager to learn, team player
• Experience and Knowledge: broad technical overview in the field of embedded hardware, software and AI; ability and willingness to do practical work and lead by content in embedded engineering, electronic and software development (ideally embedded and backend); several years of professional experience in developing embedded systems (hardware, electronics, signal processing, software) and experience in managing R&D projects (inclusive approaches and tools)
• Languages: business fluent in written and spoken English, German is beneficial
