We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our team!

The Business Analyst would be responsible for conducting detailed analysis and product design, producing outline specifications of business requirements and preparing feasibility proposals for internal and / or external design. Responsible for support and delivery of the project through Development, QA, UAT and Production.

Job Description

Supports and leads the analytics projects delivery effort, providing project management and analytics consultancy to develop analytical solutions ensuring that the relationship with the client is productive, professional and mutually beneficial.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Works independently to develop descriptive and predictive analytical solutions using best practice analytical techniques and following established quality procedures to help guarantee the robustness of the solution
  • Produce the best quality models that can be produced within the given project timeline.
  • Perform audits to support the implementation of statistical models and other decision tools.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of own work and the work of any Data Modellers on the project
  • Follow best practice procedures and processes throughout the analytics solution delivery process
  • Recognise and maximise opportunities to support the sale of analytics and other Experian solutions
  • Communicate with client and/or other departments/divisions within Experian to help ensure accurate and timely implementation of project work.
  • Present to clients to ensure they understand the functionality and benefits of CSDA products in solving business problems.
  • May work as part of a cross functional market team, supporting colleagues and junior members to achieve results
  • Identify potential problems in the end to end process and take ownership for the resolution  

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience of statistical/analytical project work and/or work in the Financial services or Telco’s sectors
  • Degree or equivalent standard, with a high mathematical content e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Physical Sciences.
  • Highly PC literate with thorough knowledge of statistical  (e.g. R and Python with Pandas, Numpy and Machine Learning Packages) and IT packages. PySpark is an a plus.
  • Understanding of statistical techniques which may be used to address client business issues.
  • Understanding of the principles and applications of the relevant Business Lines analytics solutions range. Knowledge of Location Intelligence and Marketing Intelligence is a plus.
  • Knowledge of machine learning 
  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency in writing reports and presenting technical work.
  • Effective project planning and time management skills
  • An innovative and inquisitive mind, focused on addressing and solving data and analysis problems.
  • Common sense/logical approach to mathematical reasoning.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Relevant Language skills for local marketplace.
  • Excellent English language skills.
