We’re building the speech company.Deepgram is looking for a Machine Learning Developer Advocate that is passionate about machine learning and voice. You’ll be joining a team of engineers and storytellers that represent Deepgram to developer and data science communities and inspire them to build amazing products.

What You'll Do

  • Champion Deepgram’s developer products in-person and online by presenting at conferences and hackathons, writing technical tutorials, publishing articles and videos
  • Build inspiring demos, sample apps, and continuously improve the developer experience of our APIs and SDKs
  • Gather feedback and provide perspective on behalf of the developer community to influence product direction, prioritize developer needs, and explore trends
  • Engage with the community through public communication channels such as the Twitch developer forums, Github Discussions, Twitter, Stack Overflow, Discord, and more
  • Collaborate with internal teams on the product roadmap, market positioning, messaging, and developer program initiatives
  • Create opportunities for other Deepgram employees to engage with the developer community
  • Identify gaps to fill in our developer relations strategy

  • Want to spend Monday coding, Tuesday designing a workshop, Wednesday writing a blog post, Thursday crafting videos and memes, and Friday growing the community

It’s Important To Us That You Have

  • Over 1 year of experience in a development or developer relations role
  • Experience with Python
  • A passion for the latest developments in AI and ML
  • Experience giving technical talks within an organization, at meetups, or at events
  • Experience creating content for technical audiences, including tutorials, blogs, and video
  • Empathy for technical audiences. You see the best intentions in all actions and help move things forward
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the desire to share technical knowledge and information with others in creative and clever ways

It Would Be Great If You Had

  • Experience with or the desire to learn Javascript, Go, Rust
  • Experience with use cases involving Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU)
  • Experience contributing to and/or managing open-source projects
