Job Description

• In your exciting internship you will analyze different polymer materials (focus on thermoplastics) with a variety of analysis methods (e.g., spectroscopy, microscopy and other) and use multivariate data analysis to determine hidden information and correlations.
• You will contribute with your ideas and knowledge and perform your experiments independently and reliably.
• Furthermore, you will evaluate the collected data, interpret them and draw conclusions about possible mechanisms and present them to your colleagues.
• Last but not least, you will support the development of scientific findings and subsequent documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: advanced studies in the STEM field with good academic performance
• Personality and Working Practice: motivated, reliable, independent, innovative and a team player
• Experience and Knowledge: practical experience in laboratory work, first experience in programming (Python, R or C++), first experience with multivariate data analysis is beneficial (PCA, PCR, PLS)
• Enthusiasm: interested in working in industrial research with challenging tasks as well as in building up new knowledge
• Languages: very good German and very good English

Additional Information

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months
