Are you ready to kickstart your career in renewable energy with Vestas, the world leader in sustainable energy solutions?
If so, come aboard as a Student Worker in our NCE Regional Engineering & Technology (RE&T) team, where you’ll assess site-specific climatic conditions to maximize wind farm performance, research flow and turbine interaction models to improve site suitability and play an integral role in optimizing wind farm projects across Northern & Central Europe.

Vestas Technology & Operations > Frontend Engineering & Technology > Regional Engineering & Technology NCE > Functional Lead Siting Solutions NCE

Regional Engineering & Technology NCE represents the Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) organisation in the 6+ GW p.a. regional business unit Northern & Central Europe (NCE), including about 30 countries with installed capacity across the spectrum of Sustainable Energy Solutions with On- & Offshore wind at the core. Our main responsibilities centre around technical contracting, technical value engineering, customisation and execution, product integrity, regional product market requirement management as well as regional product lifecycle engineering.
In RE&T NCE, we therefore:

  • Understand customer needs: we ensure that technical bid requirements and project-specific restrictions are understood, offers and contracts comply with country-specific requirements and track relevant interests of key project stakeholders.
  • Optimise projects: we optimise performance & cost variables of Onshore & Offshore projects alike to maximize value for all parties, i.e. utilising the Tech Sales, Siting & Power Plant Solutions communities' global practices, processes, and tools.
  • Mitigate technical risks: We assess potential technical issues and ensure that all technical assessments align with our procedural framework, cautiously directing the technical aspects of projects to support efficient execution.
  • Connect R&D to the market: we feed back into central R&D with techno-commercial market & competitiveness requirements to shape Vestas future product portfolio for the region as well as requirements for the further development of frontline tools & processes.

As part of the RE&T NCE, the Siting Solutions team analyses site climatic conditions throughout the value chain of a wind farm and optimises configurations, layouts and operational settings of wind farms for site suitability and performance to deliver best-in-class LCoE for our customers.
