Job Description

Your Career

The WildFire detection team is responsible for delivering high quality and state of art malware detection capabilities. We are looking for a motivated, intelligent, hardworking and creative intern to join the team as a Security Research Engineer. As a member of the WildFire team, you will be able to conceive, design, implement and evaluate systems to detect and prevent various threats in the emerging security landscape.

Your Impact

  • Track and research emerging malware families and innovate new ways to identify malicious behaviors
  • Opportunity to learn, analyze and identify real word malicious campaigns and modern malware samples
  • Gain hands-on experience with scalable and extensible detection/prevention systems to protect customers around the globe 
  • Leverage data-driven approaches, such as statistical analysis, machine learning, deep learning and other advanced techniques
  • Convert research results and discoveries into real-impact innovative solutions

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Creative thinker and team player with a passion for data-driven security research, and building high quality, complex systems as a part of an incredible research team
  • Hands-on experience with malware analysis & detection, familiar with reverse engineering process
  • Strong programming, engineering skills and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new programming languages and technologies
  • Good knowledge of machine learning models and experience in data driven approaches
  • Experience with program analysis is a big plus
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS and open source technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Gitlab is a plus
  • Be comfortable working independently, efficiently
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Proven success (past publication record, open source project contributions) is a big plus

To apply, you must be pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate Degree, a 2-year Master’s Degree or a Doctorate degree and returning to school in the fall.
