About the Role

As a Data Analyst, you will part of our Insights & Analytics practise within Growth Practices Technology Services NZ. You will work collaboratively with our team and key stakeholders to support our AIOps program as well as the generation data-driven insights for our customers success and engineering teams. As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for using modelling, statistics, trend analysis, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, identify, and analyse data. You will work with the team to convert analysis into actionable insights to drive tangible operational and customer value.

What you’ll do

As a Data Analyst you will bring technical expertise with data along with a mindset of curiosity to understand trends, monitor performance and solve business problems

As Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:

Performing statistical modelling and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports and visualizations of trends and patterns.

Working with account teams and customers to understand data and analysis needs and develop technical requirements.

Assisting in the development and management data from internal and external sources.

Creating and maintaining data models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data.

Using data visualization programs, tools and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, understanding and interpretation of trends and patterns of business importance.

What you’ll bring

You will be an experienced Data Analyst, with a strong understanding of all aspects of the data / analytics development and 3+ years’ experience working in a data/ analytics or business intelligence related field. You will have a demonstrated the ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate data and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to experience in driving analysis and interpreting results from structured and unstructured data and the ability to quickly learn new applications, processes and procedures.

You will have demonstrable experience in the following:

  • Experience developing complex visualisation or reporting solutions such as Tableau, PowerBI and Excel
  • Experience with Data profiling and wrangling solutions
  • Experience with Process Mining tooling and associated data-centric analytical approaches
  • Data modelling and blending skills (Star schema, Snowflake schema, data vault)
  • Strong ETL /ELT processes understanding and implementation
  • Working knowledge of BI and data warehouse concepts and terminology
  • Experience with analytical programming languages such as SQL, Python
  • Exposure to ML learning methodologies
  • Strong influencing and persuasive ability.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS & GCP
  • Exposure to Azure Data Factory and Data Flows
