Present in Switzerland since 1997 in Geneva, Talan Switzerland now has nearly 100 employees. Initially focuse in the financial sector, Talan has developed in recent years in the watchmaking, insurance, media and services sectors and recently opened an office in Lausanne.

Job Description

Today, we would like to strengthen our teams with a Data Analyst / Data Engineer

  • You engage in active dialogue with the business lines to understand the business goals and requirements.
  • You contribute to the management of partners for the design and construction of the data mapping and data pipeline.
  • You supervise and participate in the execution of the integration of data (with Talend into Snowflake) of various kinds that come from multiple sources and verify their quality.
  • You guarantee qualitative access to data sources and ensure control over the data and the quality of its use (referencing, standardization, qualification) in order to facilitate its use.
  • You contribute to the definition of the data policy and the structuring of its life cycle in compliance with the regulations in force.
  • You supervise and execute the development of Tableau dashboards, according to business requirements.
  • You build and follow a plan to achieve the goals and you share weekly report to the stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • You have a higher degree in the field of business intelligence or data science or computer science with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Your knowledge of the modern BI technology stack is your strength, ideally in the Talend / Snowflake / Tableau environment.
  • You have a confirmed experience in leading workshop with the business for the definition of KPI, as well as in the development of data pipeline with Talend, from the sources to the data warehouse, and then the development of dashboards in Tableau.
  • You are comfortable communicating with the professions and synthesizing the issues. You are structured in your approach while remaining result oriented.
  • Your collaborative spirit makes you a key partner and you are familiar with agile methodologies.
  • Experience in marketing data (Google Analytics, social media and custom solutions)  is a plus.
  • You are fluent in English and ideally also in French.
