Job Description

Huawei Canada Digital Power Laboratory is responsible for Digital Power Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design and Strategic Technology Planning. It plays an important role in the design and development of power converters and control systems for applications such as data centers, PV, AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies.

  • Investigate ICT solutions of data repositories and streaming pipelines for microgrids or modern transmission-distribution networks.
  • Prototype internet of things (IoT) solutions for connecting various distributed energy resources (DER).
  • Responsible for establishing and manage data pipelines. Realize the capacity of wide-area data sensing, streaming, and commanding.
  • Data processing and analysis for DERs and microgrid planning or operation.

Qualifications

  • Hold a PhD or a Master degree in the field of computer science, electrical engineering or with other related background.
  • Proven experience in database and pipelines.
  • Python or C/C++. Familiar with PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, Apache Kafka, etc. or alternative tools.
  • Background in AI/machine learning, mathematics/statistics, blockchain, cloud or edge computing is an asset.
