Job Description

The Enterprise Analytics team is responsible for developing and supporting enterprise analytics for Informa Global Business Services (GBS). The team works to identify, develop, deliver and monitoring effective financial, volumetric and other performance analytics across GBS, leading initiatives to identify and bring insight to the performance, control, efficiency and effectiveness of the GBS functions through interpretation and insight gained from well-presented and useful data.

We are looking for a highly technical individual who will support in architecting a cloud native data environment to support the Enterprise Analytics team. You will work across business with various source system owners to ensure we are optimally utilising all available data to drive performance, identify key gaps and build and iterate effective routines to automate and optimise data flows.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to embark on a transformative data driven journey within the Global Business Services, establishing data insghts and decision making across all areas of operation within GBS.

You will have an opportunity to work across various divisions and with multiple stakeholders globally and have a direct influence on expansion of the role of Data and Analytics within business services.

This role sits within the Global Business Services (GBS) Enterprise Analytics function and reports to the Head of Enterprise Analytics, based in London and is primarily responsible for:

  • Developing a deep understanding of all available data sources, ensuring that data is successfully collected, collated, refreshed and readily available in an appropriate format for the wider Enterprise Analytics team
  • Automate robust enterprise solutions for the extraction and processing of data from source systems
  • Build and develop appropriate controls and documentation on all data sources, mapping, calculations and subsequent application within Enterprise Analytics reporting suite.
  • Support the creation and long-term development of a modern cloud-based data environment to power an efficient end-to-end reporting processes
  • Work with O2C, P2P and R2R leads and wider teams to identify and close gaps in data and analytics and AI and engage stakeholders on fulfillment strategies
  • Provide proactive support and train the Enterprise Analytics team in the building and design of dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Explore opportunities to develop further advanced analytics, applications and data driven solutions to drive insights and process performance within the division

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Abilities

  • Advanced SQL skills including the creation and optimisation databases, stored procedures, functions and advanced queries
  • Advanced programming in python, .NET, VBA and API development
  • Advanced Power BI Developer, including DAX, Power Query, Data Flows and Power BI
  • Solid understanding of data storage, analytics, business intelligence, modelling, and reporting in a dynamic commercial environment.
  • Advanced understanding of ETL processes and end to end data flows with complex, uncleansed and incomplete data
  • Ability to analyse quantitive and qualitative data in decision making
  • Good grasp of fundamentals of statistics and descriptive analytics
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Consultative mindset and ability to influence key decision-makers
  • Act with integrity, tact, and diplomacy to formulate trust at all levels 
  • Self-motivated, driven, and open to new challenges 
  • Comfort with ambiguity and dynamic prioritisation 

Desirable Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Experience with multiple cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS) and cross platform tools such as databricks or snowflake
  • Exposure to automation, consolidation and cleansing of data in a complex and evolving business environment
  • Good level of financial literacy
  • Immersive and impactful presentation skills to senior management 
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders, preferably across different regions
