Job Description

Responsibilities

At Curinos, data scientists drive the innovation process of developing digital solutions. From defining the vision and requirements to purposefully designing the model-driven solutions from the ground up. At Curinos, you will draw insights from massive datasets, create intuitive data visualizations, and build scalable machine learning models and products. You will work with experts in data engineering, machine learning and business executives to deliver proactive instead of reactive solutions.

You will influence product strategy and investment decisions with data and help guide new product initiatives. You must be able to turn unclear business goals into clearly defined problems, develop statistically sound solutions and robust machine learning models from large FinTech data sources, and deliver results that meet high standards of data quality, security, and privacy.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with the concept development team to discover and understand common pain points and ideate potential model driven solutions
  • Identify real-world value and build the data required to bring the solution to life; Assess the potential risks and consequences associated with the model and solution
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to automate systems and processes
  • Formulate and solve new problems while balancing how deep to dive and prefect data vs achieving progress
  • Use prior commercial experience in using data and machine learning to drive innovation and continual evolution of the development and testing of machine learning solutions
  • Be proficient with a wide variety of machine learning and data munging libraries and tools
  • Leverage prior experience working with engineers and dev ops teams to set up appropriate technical resources
  • Extract value from data in a variety of formats, structured and unstructured, residing in a variety of data systems (relational databases, object storage, etc.)

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Expertise

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience in data science
  • Heavy experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
  • High coding proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python)
  • Experience applying various machine learning techniques, and understanding the key parameters that affect their performance
  • Experience using notebook solutions such Jupyter to conduct reproducible data analysis and modeling projects
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud-based platform (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure)
