Archive is building an ‘operating system for resale’ that delivers a customized online secondhand marketplace site and the underlying infrastructure and operations to plug into all of the other facets of a brand’s global resale strategy.

About the Role

  • Build extensible pipelines for ingesting, transforming and cleaning brand data
  • Normalize and join data from disparate sources and varying levels of fidelity
  • Maintain and improve existing data pipelines as we scale feature sets and operations
  • Contribute to and promote data engineering and governance standards across the company

About You

  • You love working with data and solving complex problems with elegant solutions using code
  • You have the ability to continuously learn, work independently and take initiative
  • You’re highly analytical and have an eagerness to tackle problems across the business
  • You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals
  • You are mission driven and love the fact that the better we do as a company, the less waste we’ll see in the world

Skills / Experience

  • Engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, and Data Science.
  • Proficiency working with large datasets using modern data languages and libraries (e.g. SQL, Python, Pandas, iPython Notebook)
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational databases

  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, Vercel, Render, Google Cloud
  • Collaboration: Github, Linear, Notion, Slack
Archive is backed by top-tier investors, including Bain Capital, Lightspeed, FirstMark and the founders of Allbirds, Harry’s and Warby Parker. We're a fast growing team, live with over 10 brands including The North Face and Oscar De La Renta. The founders, Emily and Ryan, bring over a decade of business and technology experience including 2 startups and a successful exit.
The team is currently remote-first with hub offices in NY and LA and optional in-person work for those located in either of those two cities. Occasional travel expected.
