JOB CONTEXT

One of the primary objectives of Prophesee is to push for the maturation of event-based vision, which requires the contribution of experts from many different fields ranging from the design of innovative algorithms to the industrialization of processing pipelines, going through the implementation of tools and APIs, the adaptation of pipelines to hardware compute platforms, the characterization of algorithms on concrete use-cases, the operational maintenance of code-bases, and more.

With the present position opening, Prophesee is looking to consolidate its team of algorithm engineers working on the design, implementation, characterization, optimization and maintenance of cutting-edge algorithms and processing pipelines.

For this purpose, we are looking for an Senior Computer Vision engineer to work in collaboration with our talented team of experts in Machine Learning, Software and Embedded Systems, with the mission to drive the design and development of highly efficient and robust algorithmic pipelines, and to contribute to the maturation of Prophesee’s event-based vision assets and to their successful deployment on the operational use-cases of our customers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with technical and business colleagues to clarify requirements, advise on design choices and technical constraints, iterate on candidate solutions, and improve implementations
• Invent, design, implement, characterize, and optimize Computer vision algorithms and processing pipelines in C++
• Contribute to the success of customer deliveries and to the development and maintenance of high quality and reliable software
• Work innovatively and creatively within the group with a focus on robustifying research algorithms for operational applications and protecting innovation through patents

The position does not involve extensive travel but may occasionally require travelling internationally to meet customers and prospects.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Minimum required:

• Master’s degree in computer vision, computer science, or equivalent degree in a relevant technical field
• 3 to 10+ years of experience in Computer Vision and/or Image Processing
• Excellent programming skills in both C++ and Python
• Excellent analytic and problem solving skills
• Experience with developing computational photography and/or multi camera algorithms deployed in a commercial product
  
• In-depth familiarity with the state of the art in Computer Vision, such as Camera Calibration, Corner Detection, Optical Flow, SLAM, Image Denoising
• Good inter-personal skills

Would be a plus:

• Experience with mobile imaging pipelines
  
• Experience in one or more of the following problems: image/video denoising, image/video registration, depth from a stereo camera, image/video deblurring
• PhD degree in computer vision, computer science, or other relevant technical field
• Experience with developing real-time processing pipelines on embedded platforms
• Familiarity with Agile software development principles and practices
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary team and/or in a startup

Language skills: English is mandatory as it is the working language of the company. French is an asset for living in Paris.
