MLOps Engineer

True Analytics, TDG’s Analytics and AI department, is looking for an experienced Machine Learning Operations Engineer (MLOps Eng) to join our MLOps team. In MLOps, our mandate is to support both internal and external data science clients in the productionization ML code as well as develop and maintain a hybrid on premise and cloud platform which automates ML pipelines, monitors for trainings/serving skew, data drift, concept drift, and model performance.

What you will be doing

As an MLOps Eng, you will be responsible for supporting machine learning needs. You work closely with the Data Scientist, Data Engineer, DevOps, Ops, and Data Model on scalable solutions to maintain cross-team and cross-company partnerships, and for communicating to executives the current power and future reach of ML. This is an exciting new team where you will be at the forefront of technology while keeping mindful of our customers’ day-to-day needs. Below you find the necessary skills to succeed in this role; however, it isn't expected that all candidates have in-depth knowledge of every skill.

• Work with a both on premise and cloud platform (GCP and Databricks)
• Develop scalable solutions for petabytes of data
• Interface with DevOps, Data Engineering, Data Model, and Data Science
• Develop hybrid infrastructure connecting cloud and on premise MLOps
• To be a continual life long learner
• Coach DS with ML and coding best practices
• Capable of building data pipelines
• Keep abreast of advancements in technology and industry trends in the AI/ML space to be able to leverage the right stack for any given problem
• Collaborate with product management, platform engineering, security, risk management, and other partner organizations in discovery and requirements definition
• Leverage agile practices in continuously improving our delivery quality and velocity
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Passionate about continuously building and refining innovative culture

What we are looking for

• BS in mathematics, physics, computer science, or an engineering discipline
• Good English communication skills
• Big data experience
• 3 year experience of software engineering experience in at least one of the following languages Python, Java, C/C++
• Experience with Spark and Hadoop
• At least 3 years of analytics experience
• Experience with git, Airflow, MLflow, Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker
• Experience with monitoring tools such as prometheus
• Experience with preferrable with one or more of the following ML frameworks SparkML, Tensorflow, H2O.ai, VertexAI, Keras
• Knowledge of ML algorithms
• Propensity to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• MS and/or PhD in mathematics, physics, computer science, or an engineering discipline
• 5+ years of analytics experience
• Experience with Tensorflow MLMD and TFX
• Experience with Apache Beam
• Expert level knowledge in one of the following DevOps, ML, or scalable software engineering
• Experience with Google Cloud and Databricks
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with Deltalake (OSS or proprietary)
