Job Description

Main responsibilities

  • Advance the state of the art in NLP and ML.
  • Participate in fundamental and applied research projects in Huawei.
  • Publish in top conferences in NLP and ML.
  • Delivering projects in a timely manner and presenting results.
  • Being an independent thinker and autonomous team player with good oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Hold MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
    • Having at least one year of experience in a similar job position
  • Good theoretical grounding in machine learning, deep learning and NLP techniques.
  • Experience in machine learning and deep learning libraries as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • You should be curious, like to think outside the box and appreciate complex challenges. Being outside of your comfort zone doesn't throw you off.
  • Experience with git and code reviews.
    • Having front-end, back-end development experience is a plus
  • Publications in top NLP\ML conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML, etc.)   is a plus.

Additional Information

  • No Visa or sponsorship will be provided for this position
  • Must be able to relocate to Montreal office at 7101 rue du Parc
  • Contract will typically be 12 month with a strong possibility of extension or possible conversion to full-time permanent
