Job Description

As a Chief AI Scientist at the Hisilicon, you will have a range of responsibilities including:

  • Working closely with head quarter product engineering teams to identify research topics and proposing research projects to solve critical problems in AI solutions and products.
  • Researching in some fundamental problems of AI algorithms, developing explainable and plausible mathematical model for clarifying and solving those problems.
  • Constantly reviewing relevant AI literature to identify emerging methods or technologies and current best practices.
  • Connecting with academics and institutions to build relationships and collaborations. 

Qualifications

  • A PhD in a field related to AI and Machine Learning such as: Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Physics.
  • In-depth understanding in at least 3 of the following areas: Computing Architecture / NAS / Compiler / Computational graph optimization / Network Compression / Network Optimization / Computer Vision / ASR / NLP / Probabilistic model.  Experience in technology team management.
  • Extensive experience in reinforcement learning.
  • Proficiency with at least one of following deep learning framework Tensorflow / Pytroch
  • Team spirit and problem-solving ability, ability to drive independent work 

Nice to have:

  • Solid background in several of the following mathematics fields: Differential Geometry, Geometric Algebra, Linear Algebra, Functional Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, Lie Algebra, Graphical Model, Stochastic Process, Stochastic Analysis.
